Future Format, Elements 1 – Greece

Future Format, Elements 1
An inaugural showcase publication and functional reference manual designed to launch Future Format’s new corporate era. The project was conceived as an indispensable daily tool for the creative community—a comprehensive book of terminology that bridges the gap between complex print mechanics and graphic design practice.
For more than four decades, Future Format has served as a vital production anchor for the graphic arts in Greece. Following a complete overhaul of their brand identity, the printing house needed a benchmark piece that could do more than just showcase their machinery. There was a profound importance in gifting the creative industry something genuinely useful. The brief demanded a publication that would earn a permanent place on every designer’s shelf by functioning as an educational authority, clarifying technical language and fostering a deeper shared knowledge across the industry.
We shaped the publication around the clean, accessible logic of a classic textbook or lexicon, prioritizing readability and immediate utility above all else. The layout manages an extensive glossary of technical terms and historical printing methods, presenting data with sharp typographic clarity and an intuitive navigation system. The true impact of the book lies in its execution as a live tactile demonstration. Each section utilizes a different paper weight, texture and ink technique. The final object provides a lasting source of value that honors the printer’s craft while genuinely serving the people who use it.
