The latest installment of viction:ary’s Palette series, “Palette 8: Iridescent”, is dedicated to the use of holographics in design. The series’ creators conceptualized Palette 08 by going back to the basics of color itself, challenging themselves to discover what its ultimate manifestation would be, and how it could change the means with which artists and designers ideate and create. The work of Semiotik has been included among 100 projects from the industry’s leading design agencies, studios and freelance designers. Our featured project, part of the complete identity design for Katerina Kagia Dental Facility, utilized iridescence as a reference to the methods and materials, as well as the values and intentions associated with dental work. In our work, materiality plays an important part in how we communicate through design. Our research led us to seek “bright” or “light” elements to incorporate in our designs, and this in turn led to the use of iridescent foil. The new Palette 08: Iridescence is available through victionary.com and on amazon, and our work is featured on page 97.

Dimitris Koliadimas, Creative Director of Semiotik Design Agency, will be attending the event “AkzoNobel – A coated future, today” to present one of Semiotik’s latest projects. AkzoNobel Coatings is hosting an exclusive gathering in Athens on 18/06/2018 for a select group of distinguished Greek architecture practices, in order to launch its new architectural coatings collection. Dimitris will be there to present the company’s new, limited-edition color tool – swatch book that was designed by Semiotik exclusively for the Greek market.

It was a great pleasure to be interviewed for the A/W issue of Slanted that is dedicated to Athens, together with many other great designers and agencies from Greece. “Tradition means knowledge, learning, study and it evokes challenge, re-invention and re-interpretation.”
